One plan for Grok, Cursor and X. Falcon Starlink flights resume.

SpaceX Super Intelligence put Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium on a single subscription. Overnight, Falcon 9 lofted 27 Starlinks from California after a three-week gap. In Paris, Tesla showed a real Cybercab from the US fleet.

The daily context behind $TSLA and $SPCX, in plain English.

The X Subscription is live: Grok, Cursor and X on one plan

On Oct 12 SpaceX Super Intelligence launched The X Subscription, bundling Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor and X Premium. Tiers run Free, Plus ($8), Premium ($30), Super ($100) and Ultra ($200) a month, with a shared weekly usage pool across Grok and Cursor. Premium is pitched as the old SuperGrok + Cursor Pro + X Premium+ stack for about a third of the prior combined price. Existing subscribers can keep their old plans or switch with a prorated refund; new customers start on the unified plans. Still unknown: how fast paid users convert, and whether ad revenue on X rises with the bundle.

Falcon 9 puts 27 Starlinks up after a three-week gap

On Oct 12 at 5:28 p.m. PDT, Falcon 9 lifted 27 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg, the first Falcon Starlink mission since Sept 19. Booster B1088 landed on Of Course I Still Love You on its 20th flight, and SpaceX confirmed all 27 deployed. Space.com called it the 112th Falcon 9 flight of 2026 and the 82nd Starlink mission this year, with more than 11,100 active satellites in the constellation. Cadence had slowed versus the late-summer burst; this ends the drought on the Falcon side while Starship still carries the V3 story.

A real Cybercab hits the Paris Motor Show floor

On Oct 12, press day at the Mondial de l'Auto, Tesla unveiled a production Cybercab from its US robotaxi fleet on stand C25, alongside Optimus Gen 2 in a glass case and free FSD (Supervised) test drives. Organizers say it is not a mock-up: it is hardware that has been running paid rides in Austin. The show is open to the public Oct 13–18. A European Cybercab service is not planned yet. Unknown: whether the display moves EU regulators or buyers ahead of the December Assisted Driving vote.

Texas tracker: 319 Cybercabs registered, Model Y robotaxis paused at 420

Texas AV Tracker data cited Oct 12 put Tesla at 319 registered Cybercabs in the state and 420 Model Y robotaxis, for 739 autonomous vehicles on the Robotaxi app. Model Y adds appear paused while Cybercab registrations jumped in the last two weeks. Austin remains the only city with public Cybercab rides; Tesla has said Dallas is next. Ride counts and a Dallas date are still unpublished.

FSD v14.3.12 goes wide, with one model for FSD and Robotaxi

On Oct 12–13 Tesla began a wide push of software 2026.38.5, pairing a Halloween Mode update with Full Self-Driving v14.3.12. Release notes say the model is now unified across Actually Smart Summon, FSD and Robotaxi. Teslascope reported an early wave of about 1,430 vehicles, mostly Hardware 4. It is a supervised owner-car update, not a new robotaxi city, but it tightens the same stack Cybercab rides on.

An RSS-linked group demands a Starlink ban in India

On Oct 13 the Swadeshi Jagran Manch, an RSS-linked economic group, called for blocking Starlink's India entry on national-security grounds, arguing laser inter-satellite links could bypass Indian gateways and that Starlink has not committed to local kill-switch rules. The government still says Starlink, Jio Satcom and Eutelsat OneWeb are licensed and waiting on the same security clearances. Musk has kept pressing Ambani and affordable India pricing. Unknown: whether the SJM stance hardens the clearance path or stays political noise.

South Korea's Gyeongbuk fire service pilots Starlink

On Oct 12 Gyeongsangbuk-do said its fire headquarters is putting Starlink on a command vehicle so crews can keep data and video links when terrestrial networks fail in mountain wildfires and other disasters. It is a pilot, not a province-wide rollout. Still unknown: expansion pace and what the province pays. It is another public-safety use case alongside the airline and mobile-partner deals already in motion.
